Thursday 5th November from 7pm – Eirias Park

The Bay of Colwyn Town Council will be holding its annual Bonfire and Fireworks Event in Eirias Park on Thursday 5th November from 7pm. The bonfire will be lit at around 7.15pm with the fireworks display following at 7.30pm.

Free parking is available at the Civic Centre and North Wales Police Headquarters (Abergele Road) and Disabled Parking will be provided at Eirias High School.

Entrance is free, but there will be a cash collection on the night, with 50% going towards the Firefighters’ Charity. If you would prefer to donate on-line, the Firefighters have set up a Just Giving page at Justgiving.com/Colwyn-Bay-Fireworks-Display. We would be grateful for your generosity for this worthwhile cause.

The event will go ahead whatever the weather (unless the Firefighters have to call it off on health and safety grounds due to strong winds from a southerly direction). Rain will not prevent the event from going ahead.

The bonfire will be located in the boating lake again this year, whilst this is emptied for its winter cleaning. Steps will be taken to mitigate any damage to wildlife by gradually re-filling the lake to its reduced winter depth (approx. 1 foot) as soon as possible after the event has taken place and any remaining debris has been cleared.

If you have any queries about this year’s event, please contact the Town Hall on 01492 532248 or at [email protected].
