Volunteering is one of the most rewarding things you can do. It is a great way to support your local community, increase your circle of friends and improve your mood and well-being. Volunteers report they find a sense of purpose, gain confidence, build a real sense of achievement, meet new people and learn new skills.
Evidence suggests there are 5 steps you can take to improve your well-being and volunteering ticks all 5 components directly:
- Take notice
- Connect
- Be active
- Keep learning
- Give
And most of all you get to have fun! Most volunteers have a great time, regardless of why they do it.
How to volunteer for the Bay of Colwyn Town Council
The Bay of Colwyn Town Council currently runs three events annually and we are always very grateful for volunteers who give their time to help:
- St David’s Day Parade
- Remembrance Sunday
- Bonfire night
- Christmas Events

If you interested in volunteering at any of these events, please fill out the form below:

Amdani! Conwy is a new project that opens up volunteering opportunities for local residents and the communities in our area to become ambassadors for Conwy’s exciting cultural offer. The project supports cultural venues and event organisers and works with our communities to make arts, culture and heritage fun, accessible and inclusive. You don’t have to be an expert in culture or the arts to take part.
As a volunteer you will get the chance to be a part of a friendly network made up of people from different backgrounds. You’ll also access behind the scenes and chat with the public from far and wide, develop new skills and learn from artists and workers who live and work in our area.
