The Bay of Colwyn Town Council is pleased to announce that it had provided funding for a new CCTV camera to be installed on the promenade at Rhos on Sea and that this is now fully installed and operational.

Following concerns being raised with the Town Council about the safety of pedestrians and cyclists along the narrow stretch of road/pavement between Penrhyn Road and Rhos Point (alongside the beach/harbour), we are requesting the assistance of residents, businesses and visitors to the area to report any incidents that may be witnessed, however minor, involving pedestrians, cyclists or vehicles along this stretch of promenade.

This can be done by calling the Town Hall on 01492 532248 during office hours, or by e-mailing us at [email protected].  A log of such incidents will be maintained and could then be used as evidence in calling upon the local Highways Authority to prioritise much needed improvements to the promenade at this location.

Should you witness any anti-social behaviour or criminal acts, please report these to the local police in the usual way (999 for emergencies, e.g. where a crime is currently being committed, and 101 for non-urgent incident reports).

Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
