On the 24th June, a delegation from the Democratic Republic of Congo’s UK Embassy were welcomed at the Town Hall by the Mayor and Town Councillors.

The group included the Embassy’s ChargĂ© d’Affaires, Madame Marie-Louise Kafenge Nanga and the Newport-based Congolese journalist, Norbert Mbu-Mputu, who were exploring the history behind the Congo Training Institute at Colwyn Bay, which was established by the Reverend William Hughes in 1885.
