It’s that time of year again when friends and family gather round to celebrate what many people believe to be in the words of the song, ‘the most wonderful time of the year’.
With the Covid problems we have all had a difficult two years but let’s hope that we can now put those troubles behind us and celebrate the Christmas message.
As your Mayor it has been my privilege to meet so many hard-working people who are prepared to give of their time to assist others. I have attended many functions but particularly I would like to mention my first engagement on Anglesey which was a demonstration of boats adapted for disabled persons by the students of Llandrillo College, I was very impressed with that. I also attended the celebration of the Bay Gallery on Station Road who have been displaying/selling the community’s artwork for 10 years.
I look forward to the remainder of my year and will try to work hard to promote the town and people and businesses of Colwyn Bay.
Tape Community Music and Film have been working on a project in the lead up to Christmas, many involved in the project have struggled with combating isolation at this time of year. The film will be playing on Station Road through to the 4th of Jan as well. Please follow this link https://vimeo.com/658630527 to watch the That’s my Bauble video and i hope you enjoy it.
May I take this opportunity to thank you for giving me the chance to represent you as your Mayor and to wish you all a safe and Happy Christmas and a peaceful and prosperous New Year.
Best wishes from Mayor, Cllr Merrill Jones.
