Colwyn Bay is delighted to have re-gained its crown as the best Large Town in Wales in the prestigious 2019 Wales in Bloom competition. Speaking at the awards ceremony in Ystradgynlais this afternoon, Ingrid Lewis, Chairman of the Colwyn in Bloom Committee, said “Colwyn Bay is delighted to once more be the Best Large Town in Wales. The gold award is a credit to the hard work and dedication of all of the community groups and individuals involved in the campaign during the year, supported by the Bay of Colwyn Town Council and Conwy County Borough Council. A number of community organisations also received ‘It’s Your Neighbourhood’ Awards, including The Growing Garden in Old Colwyn, Colwyn Bay Environment Federation and Old Colwyn Bowling Club.
